Westside Steve
Simmons spent nearly two decades as the front man for Ohio's
premier rock act, the Easy Street Band, and another 20 years as
a solo act favorite in the Midwest party capital, Put-In-Bay.
Steve's never wanted or needed a proverbial Plan B. In smoky
bars, TV studios & arena stages from Quebec to Key West, he's
logged road time like a vaudevillian and had more brushes with
stardom than Heidi Fleiss. Steve is now widely known as the
Skipper of the Lake Erie Booze Patrol.
He
can be found daily in the summer months performing on or around
the Lake Erie Islands. His quick wit, encyclopedic song list of
country, classic rock and Irish pub standards have made
him a Island & inland favorite. |

ALEX BEVAN
Alex Bevan has
been sharing his voice, guitar, music and stories with audiences
for more than thirty years. First known as the "Skinny Little
Boy" from Cleveland, Ohio who came to "Chase your wimmin' and
drink your beer", Alex has made a name for himself through out
the Northern Ohio music scene.
Drawing on his deep skill set of imaginative and honest song
writing combined with an agile, improvisational wit that
dovetail wonderfully with his flawless guitar slinging, Alex
never fails to delight and charm audiences no matter what the
venue. His recordings span the gamut from folk to folk rock and
pop to children's educational music and he has won a number of
awards for his commercial efforts in radio and television.
Alex's creative works have also contributed to documentary film
scores. You need to see him to believe him and hear him to know
him. Alex is truly Ohio's "Great Lakes Bard".

Travelin'
Johnsons
Phil Talbot and Wes McCraw are two
of Northeast Ohio's best and most entertaining musicians.
Together they are the Travelin' Johnsons. With a unique acoustic
approach to Rock, Country, and Blues classsics (which includes
the use of foot percussion instruments) the duo has entertained
audiences all over the country...and even abroad. Noteworthy
venues include the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the House of
Blues (both in Cleveland Ohio and the Dominican Republic), the
historic Cleveland Arcade, and the Boardwalk at Put-in-Bay Ohio.
Television appearances include the Travel Channel's "NFL Road
Tested" and Fox 8 News Cleveland. Phil Talbot, a former member
of classic rock music icons The Outsiders, brings with him a
seemingly limitless catalog of songs both old and new. Wes
McCraw is a well respected guitarist, producer, and engineer. He
has produced music and content for Hasbro Toys, American
Greetings, MTV, and PBS Television among others.
Both Phil and Wes are former members of The Calabash Band...a 25
year Put-in-Bay, Ohio favorite. The Travelin' Johnsons have
been, and continue to be, one of the most booked duos at "P.I.B".
With a fan friendly performance style, a bit of musical
virtuosity, and a song catalogue spanning over 40 years - the
Travelin' Johnsons have something for everyone. |

FRONT
PORCH
The
Front Porch, comprising four Baldwin Wallace College teachers
(from left, Mark Mattern,
Steve Hollender, Kelly Coble and Beth Hiser),
has been forging its own brand of traditional music since about
2003, and it is finding broad appeal. The band plays standards
like the mountain ballad “Old Joe Clark” and “Wildwood Flower,”
made famous by the Carter family. Front Porch also brings a
staple of original music to shows, much of it composed by
Hollender, though all members contribute writing. Don’t be
surprised by an occasional curveball, though. Front Porch
recently introduced a Beatles tune to its repertoire.

Adam and The Auntacids
Formed
by a group of friends whose impromptu jam sessions inspired them
to take it to another level, Adam & the Auntacids have been
steadily working their way through the gigging circuits of
Northeast Ohio. A group with diverse material, they range from
roots rock to classic rock, folk and Americana, punk to
alternative. A typical set list takes listeners from the
1960’s through today with stops in every decade in between.
Known for their clever acoustic adaptations, they’ll play one
you know by heart then one you haven’t heard in years. A
band that puts the emphasis on fun times for all, Adam & the
Auntacids sidestep genres and decades to deliver shows where the
audience is an integral part of the experience. Adam Koehler –
vocals, harmonicas and auxiliary percussion. Darike Harper
– acoustic guitars and vocals. Stanley Martin – mandolins,
guitars and vocals. Stacey Greene – bass and vocals. Mike
Williams – drums and percussion. |

WIXY
Playing songs from 1965 - 1975
Remember when cars came standard with an AM radio? All the songs
were two to three minutes long. There was only one station to
listen to for top 40 music in Cleveland between 1965 and 1975
while driving. That was Super Station, WIXY 1260 AM. Let us take
you back to a time before iPods. Before Satellite radio. Before
CD's. Vinyl records and 8-track tapes were the preferred media
forms. Some of the records were known as 45's or singles and for
a while they outsold albums. The WIXY 1260's pay tribute to the
music of that era in Cleveland history with nostalgic hits
rarely heard today but are etched in the minds of anyone over
the age of 40.
Both
waves of British Invasion bands are covered as well as the
long-haired, peace loving American hippy music of that decade.
So, put on your bell bottom jeans, your smiley face t-shirt or
paisley long sleeve, and your peace sign necklace. Load up the
gang in the VW bus with shag carpet on the inside and the "Keep
on Truckin" bumper sticker and join us for a trip back in time.
You can't help but tap your feet to the beat and sing along with
the WIXY 1260's. |

Appearing Live: Aug. 17th |

Mallory SanMarco
Walk
into any room where Mallory SanMarco is playing her unique brand
of original music and you’ll never guess what this talented
young singer/songwriter will come up with next. She can soothe
your ear with a haunting version of her original ballad
“Thousand Tiny Pieces”, amuse you with her take on certain
facets of the youth culture with “I'm Emo” or make a devastating
social statement with songs like “Warning Signs (The Kneecap
Song)” or “Bobbi.” Each well crafted tune is presented with wit,
charm and a smile that is both captivating and disarming.
Since her first solo show in September of 2006, Mallory has been
entertaining audiences at venues as diverse as the Barking
Spider, Mike’s Bar, Baldwin-Wallace College, Phoenix and Caribou
Coffeehouses, Wilbert’s, the Winchester and many of northeast
Ohio’s better-known stages. Quiet and unassuming, Mallory draws
listeners in with simple guitar work and the ability to tell a
story in clear prose and lucid lyrics.
In 2007 Mallory took first place in a songwriter contest
sponsored by Guitar Center and earned a top spot in the Taste of
Tremont Festival along with a place on Apple’s iTunes store. In
2008 she took second place at the Baldwin-Wallace College “B-W’s
Got Talent” contest. Her award winning songs and highly
entertaining performances have become the core of her one-woman
show and the focal point of her guest appearances all over town. |

Bobby
Pennock
Bobby
Pennock is an accomplished singer/songwriter whose style, albeit
unique, is reminiscent of those celebrated folksingers of the
1960s and 70s, like Paul Simon and Harry Chapin (with a heaping
helping of The Beatles thrown in), crafting songs that catch you
off guard with lines like: Don’t
try to reason – a little thought might give you heed/You don’t
need to be wise when pleasing all your wants/By disguising them
as needs... Listening
to him perform is like watching a good magician. When it's over,
you can't help but ask: How did he do that? |

"PRIMITIVE ROCK AND ROLL FROM THE 50'S AND 60'S."
The Clayton
Brothers Band consider themselves the luckiest band
anywhere because they have the greatest, most hip (perhaps
craziest) folks who come out to have fun with them;
becoming their extended Clayton family. You too can be
family. Come on out to the Eastland Inn and introduce
yourself. Bring your dancin' shoes! |

Brigid's
Cross was formed in 1996 as Paul Baker, Peggy Goonan-Baker and
Richie Reece bring an eclectic collection of music to the stage.
From true-to-heritage traditional music to contemporary pieces,
Brigid’s Cross is a never-ending show from start to finish.
Think of Ralph and Alice Kramden from the classic TV show the
Honeymooners, meeting the Captain and Tennille. Enough
said! This show draws a lot of inspiration (both musical
and otherwise) from Peggy and Paul's past, as well as their
current everyday lives. Musically, they feature a lot of
the same Irish music that you'd expect to hear, with perhaps
more of a mix of music from different genres and eras, depending
on the venue. Lots of humor and crowd interaction can be
looked forward to, as well as some more original music. Come out
for Brigid's Cross at the Eastland Inn.

The Band
Cruisin' was founded by lead singer and sax player Ron
Howard in 1986. It's rare in this business to find a group
that has been together for over 20 years. It's even rarer
for a group to be as successful as Cruisin' .
That
success can be attributed to five dedicated guys who have
lived and breathed the music of Motown and classic
rock-'n-roll, and who consistently perform the hits of the
50s through the 80s with a style, flair and sound second
only to that of the original artists.
